The Land Conservancy of Adams County is a fully accredited, member-supported, nonprofit land trust that works to preserve the rural lands and character of Adams County. The long-running auction, which raises money to support rural land conservation in Adams County, will feature a wide variety of artwork donated by local and regional artists and art collectors—everything from painting and drawing to ceramics, jewelry, and other three-dimensional work.

The Face of Nicaragua, a collection of photographs on metal by Dan Mangan chronicles the rich vein of humanity that flows through this proud, intriguing country. Mangan says, “The people of Nicaragua are its strength.  An American friend of mine says he has returned time and again to this small place in the heart of Central America to re-connect to the human race.”  He continues, “These photographs were taken when I accompanied a citizen delegation to Nicaragua under the auspices of Gettysburg College’s Project Gettysburg-León. PGL has done invaluable work in that country, the second poorest in the Western Hemisphere, by involving hundreds of volunteer students and local citizens in its ongoing mission to help provide sustainable empowerment to the Nicaraguan people.” The show will remain up through September.
