Adams County Awards $1.36M in COVID-19 Support Grants – More to Come

On June 11th, 2020 the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) released guidance for the Pennsylvania COVID-19 County Relief program.

Adams County submitted an application for $9,302,625 in funding on June 15, 2020. On June 24, 2020, the Adams County Commissioners approved a contract with DCED for the full amount.

This funding is strictly for support of COVID-19 related activities to offset the cost of direct county COVID-19 response.

The grants assist businesses and municipalities, provide behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services, and fund nonprofit assistance programs.

The funds are being distributed to county businesses through the Fund for Adams Investment and Recovery (FAIR).

The first round of funding has already been made, and applications are being accepted through Friday October 23 for a second round.
