The Adams County Children’s Advocacy Center board of directors is proud to host the 2nd Annual Brighter Tomorrows for Children Awards on Thursday, October 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Adams County Historical Society’s Beyond the Battle Museum.
The Brighter Tomorrows for Children Awards is an annual event that honors individuals in our community who have made a significant impact on the well-being of children, against child abuse, and to make our community a safer place for children. The 2024 event will honor awardees: Lisa Miller, School Counselor at Conewago Valley Elementary School, Kyle Reuter, Assistant District Attorney, Adams County, and The Mason Dixon Chapter of A.B.A.T.E., PA, for their many contributions to the care and protection of Adams County children.

Thank you to our generous sponsors, WellSpan Health and Community Media of South Central PA. More information can be found online at kidsagaincac.org.
Inspiring quotes provided by the 2024 awardees will join those of 2023 awardees: Governor Josh Shapiro, Jessica and Troy Dean of Celebrate Gettysburg and Graphcom, and posthumous awardee Sherri Wisor, on plaques to be installed in the Healing Garden of the Brighter Tomorrows Center, the “forever” home of the Adams County Children’s Advocacy Center which is currently in the planning phase of a large scale renovation.
The Adams County Children’s Advocacy Center is an independent, non-profit organization that is dedicated to a community where children are safe and families are strong—and child victims can become children again. We work to empower children to be safe and keep children from being abused by providing child abuse prevention programs in local schools, training, and resources for parents and caregivers while working to meet the needs of children and families if they have been victimized. At the Center, children and families get the help and support they need to overcome the trauma of child abuse in our community-based, child-focused center that facilitates a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, investigation, and treatment of the trauma of child abuse.
