Attention parents and grandparents of high school seniors who plan to attend college or technical school next fall! The Adams County Community Foundation has scores of scholarships available to students—and you can help your student by making them aware of these awards and encouraging them to apply. It’s a great boost for a student to be acknowledged for their accomplishments while getting the money they need to offset the cost of their education.
The Adams County Community Foundation manages more than 100 scholarships with over $200,000 in awards for Adams County students each year. All high school seniors in the county are eligible and many students may qualify for multiple scholarships. All scholarships are awarded based on merit and financial need. That means that scholarships are awarded to students who have the strongest overall record of achievement and who need the most support.
Students start the process by setting up an applicant profile online and telling us who they are and what they want to accomplish. Parents supply FAFSA information and the high school provides student transcripts. No letter of recommendation is required, although students must be in “good standing” at their schools. The Community Foundation matches student applications to the scholarships they are qualified to receive. Applications are available on www.AdamsCountyCF.org and open January 1 and close on March 15. Successful scholarship applicants – and a guest – are celebrated at the Community Foundation Scholarship Breakfast on May 1, 2024.
The Community Foundation is pleased to partner with students to support their educational goals!
