Adams County Community Needs Assessment Forum is Oct. 3

Community members will have the chance to help shape Adams County’s future health strategies at the 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment Forum on Friday, October 3, 2025, at HACC’s Gettysburg Campus.

The full-day event, running from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., will combine data presentations, discussions, and collaborative planning sessions. Participants will also be provided with a continental breakfast and lunch.

The morning will feature presentations on a wide range of topics tied to health and well-being in Adams County. These include findings from the 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment, the Central PA Food Bank’s Hunger Mapping Project, @Home in Adams County’s housing initiatives, and results from the 2023 Pennsylvania Youth Survey.

After lunch, the afternoon will be dedicated to breakout sessions where attendees can work directly with Healthy Adams County to set action plans for the next three years. Planning will focus on the community’s priority areas: social, mental, and physical well-being.

Organizers say the forum is designed to give residents, service providers, and local organizations the tools to translate data into practical strategies that can strengthen Adams County. By combining research with community-driven ideas, they aim to build consensus on goals that reflect both the challenges and opportunities facing local families.

The forum will be held at HACC’s Gettysburg Campus, 731 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Registration is required by Friday, September 26.

To register, community members can visit the event link online. For questions, contact Kathy Gaskin at kgaskin@wellspan.org or call (717) 337-4137.
