Adams County Farmers Market Announces 2024 Opening Day, Vendor Application

The Adams County Farmers Market is excited to announce that the opening day he Opening Day of the Adams County Farmers Market (ACFM)’s 2024 season is set for Saturday, April 27th from 8am-1pm at the Gettysburg Rec Park, located at 545 Long Lane. Market shoppers can expect to see a familiar cast of market vendors and local products, as well as new additions.

This will mark ACFM’s second year at the Gettysburg Rec Park location. “We saw a ton of success at the Rec Park in 2023,” said market vendor and ACFM board member Scott Woods. “Combined vendor sales increased by 16%, even though it was our first year at the park. 2024 should be an even greater success now that the initial move is over.”

Market organizers are currently accepting vendor applications for the 2024 season, and local vendors of all types are invited to apply. Food makers with niche products such as artisanal hard cheeses, gluten-free baked goods, handcrafted chocolates, specialty teas, small-batch condiments, dried fruit snacks, oven-baked granola, or locally-milled flour may be given special consideration.

“A big part of our mission is to foster the success of small business startups,” continued Woods. “As a vendor, myself, I know our market can be an extremely profitable opportunity for someone with a great product.”
