The Adams County Farmers Market is holding its 4th annual Farmers Market Fairy Festival on Saturday June 14, 2025, from 8am-1pm at the Gettysburg Rec Park.
The Adams County Farmers Market is excited to be once again hosting its annual Farmers Market Fairy Festival on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 from 8am to 1pm, at the Gettysburg Rec Park. This special event will feature vendors with fairy- or magic-themed items, kids activities, prizes, costumed entertainment, facepainting, and much more, all taking place alongside the regularly scheduled farmers market and produce vendors who attend each Saturday. Shoppers are encouraged to dress up in their most magical attire.
Last year, the Adams County Farmers Market’s Fairy Festival drew crowds of delighted fairies, gnomes, and fantastical creatures of all ages. Event coordinators believe this year is likely to be just as successful. “We started this special event to bring more shoppers out to the market and create a uniquely magical shopping experience for the community,” said Market Manager Reza Djalal. “Over the past couple of years, it has become a really exciting part of our farmers market traditions.” The Fairy Festival has become a favorite seasonal event in Adams County, attracting families, artists, and enthusiasts from all over the region.
To help make this event even more fun and exciting, the Adams County Farmers Market is offering $2 in market tokens to children who come to the event dressed up in a costume.
This event will feature an array of vendors offering unique, themed items, providing an excellent opportunity to support local businesses. “The Farmers Market’s Fairy Festival is such a special event for us,” said Katie Taylor, founder of Tree Glass Studios. “There’s something truly magical about seeing the park come alive with color, creativity, and community. It’s a wonderful opportunity to share our work with people who appreciate handmade art and to be part of a day that sparks so much joy and imagination.” In addition to the event-themed vendors, the regular farmers market will also be in full swing, offering fresh produce, baked goods, and other local products.
Event visitors can expect to enjoy live, renaissance-style music from local performer Jacob Smith and family-friendly entertainment from the famous East Coast Pirate Entertainment troupe. There will also be multiple activities for kids, including a wand-making craft and the opportunity to ‘fight a pirate.’ Admission is free and open to the public.
