Adams County Keeps Healthcare Costs Flat in 2024

Healthcare costs for Adams County employees are expected to remain the same in 2024, according to the county’s newly released Adams County Health Plan for 2024.

The plan says that while health benefits for staff have remained steady, the cost to employees has only increased minimally. Officials say that they are very aware of how important healthcare benefits and out-of-pocket costs are to employees and taxpayers.

The county says that as a self-insured plan, the use of the wellness program and annual wellness bloodwork are crucial to keeping the annual premium rate down.

“It takes a lot of moving parts and effort to obtain this healthcare result,” said Commissioner Randy Phiel. “Thank you to HR and County Administration, as well as Adams County employee participants, for our self-insured health program success!”
