Adams County Office for Aging launches ‘Yeti Bingo’ fundraiser

The Adams County Office for Aging is putting a new twist on a familiar pastime this spring, inviting the community to take part in a fundraiser called “Yeti Bingo.”

The event, scheduled for Sunday, May 31, will be held at the Gettysburg Fire Hall, located at 35 North Stratton Street in Gettysburg. The afternoon gathering will combine the classic game of bingo with the chance to win high-end prizes from Yeti, a company known for its durable and highly sought-after line of premium coolers and outdoor gear.

Organizers say the event is designed to be both entertaining and beneficial for programs that support older adults throughout Adams County.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m., with bingo beginning at 1 p.m. The event itself will run from 1 to 4 p.m.

Participants must purchase a ticket in advance to attend. Each $45 ticket includes 20 regular bingo games and three special games. Additional attractions planned for the afternoon include door prizes, small games of chance, and snacks.

The fundraiser is being organized by the Adams County Office for Aging, Inc., which works to provide services and resources for older residents across the county. Proceeds from the bingo event will help support programs designed to promote independence, health, and quality of life for seniors.

The theme of the event centers on prizes from Yeti, the Texas-based brand known nationwide for its rugged coolers, drinkware and outdoor products. Yeti coolers in particular have gained a reputation among campers, hunters and outdoor enthusiasts for their durability and ability to keep contents cold for extended periods, making them highly valued prizes for raffle-style events.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to secure tickets ahead of time, as entry to the event requires a ticket and seating may be limited.
