Carter Wagaman earned his second win of the season with four innings of work. Cade Baker threw three scoreless innings to secure the win. Wagaman also went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Gavin Haifley was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Drew Hargest and Bender each had two hits for Susquehannock.

The rainy forecast didn’t keep the Warriors faithful away Thursday night as the home crowd was treated to a high scoring contest. For the third straight game, the Gettysburg Warriors were competitive in virtually every aspect of the statistics despite the 14 – 8 outcome.
The Warriors outshot the Patriots (39 – 32) scooped up more groundballs (31 – 23), forced more turnovers (13 – 7) won more faceoffs (16 – 10), and made more saves (10 – 8).
Leading the way for the Warriors was Senior Captain Cole Schumacher. After scoring four goals earlier in the week against Hershey, Schumacher scored a career-high five goals. Schumacher has returned to the goal scorer of the 2023 campaign, when he led the team with 28. Alex Cunningham tied the single-game school record with three assists on the night. Jackson Sheads had a three-point night, as well, as he netted two goals and added a helper. Freshman Grant Johnson had an excellent game as he scored his first high school varsity goal, was credited with his first career assist, scooped up nine groundballs, and forced three turnovers. Johnson also scored a goal in Junior Varsity action.
In net, Carter Jenkins and Turner Ramsburg turned away 41.67% of Red Land’s shots on goal. Jenkins led the way with nine saves. R J Monn blocked a high-velocity shot off his leg, forced a turnover, and picked up two groundballs. Brenned Double, Sam Dickerson, and Finn Keenan combined for five shots in the contest.
For Red Land, Blake Herman led the way with six goals while Micah Clarke had 4. Netminder Ayoj Chhetri made 8 saves on 16 shots on goal.
The Warriors play at home again on Friday as they face the Spring Grove Rockets. The varsity game starts 4:30 PM.

A monstrous first inning quickly erased any doubt in the Canners’ win over Hanover. Rylie Brewer knocked in four of the Biglerville runs and Ava Peterson plated three.

Eleven different players combined for 13 hits as New Oxford rolled over Northeastern in an abbreviated win. Maura Shirk and Carly Lawrence each had three RBI.
