Pitching ruled the day at Carlisle Wednesday afternoon, as Gettysburg’s Tegan Kuhns and Wes Coolbaugh combined on a one-hitter as the Warriors edged the Herd. Kuhns went the first four innings and did not surrender a hit while striking out eight and walking just one. Coolbaugh, while giving up the lone Carlisle hit, struck out three and issued just a single base on balls. Carson Kuhns was the offensive hero for the Warriors, with two of his team’s three hits and the lone RBI.

Southwestern rolled over Delone on Tuesday. The Squires’ goals came from Drew Metcalf, John Keely, and Noah Hall. Goalie Austin Gregg was quite busy and made 25 saves.

The Warriors defeated Bishop McDevitt at home on Tuesday, with substantial contributions from many players. Naomi Spangler had a big game with five goals, three assists, two ground balls, and a draw control. Carly Schumacher had two assists, two draw controls, and four ground balls.

Cameryn Crow scored seven times, Madison Cohee had four goals and three assists, and Sydney Winpigler scored three and assisted on three more to lead New Oxford to a thrilling win. Daelyn Hardnack had eight saves in goal. New Oxford won the JV game, 9-4.

On the strength of 17 first-inning runs aided by miscues and walks, the Canners dispatched Hanover in three innings Wednesday. Pitcher Rylie Brewer struck out five while allowing two hits and a walk.

A four-run fourth inning propelled the Warriors to the win at home. After Carlisle had overcome a 6-3 Gettysburg lead in the top of the inning, the Warriors came right back to go up 10-7 before adding an insurance run in the fifth. Megan Musselman was especially strong in relief for Gettysburg, going the last three-and-two-thirds, striking out five, and giving up just one run. Offensively, Samantha Carbaugh homered and knocked in four runs to lead the way.

The Colonials erupted for 11 runs in the fourth to make short work of York Suburban. Brooklyn Horick had a pair of hits and two RBI to lead the way on offense. Suburban made four errors and walked a total of 12 Colonial hitters.
