Curtis Rebert got the big hit in the bottom of the seventh for the Warriors, driving home Carson Kuhns with the winning run as the Warriors remained unbeaten, moving to 8-0 on the season. Kuhns also got the pitching win, as he came on to get the last two outs in the top of the inning. Starter Ian Plank had given up just two runs on three hits to that point. Offense was a premium on the blustery afternoon, with both teams combining for only seven hits on the day.

The Colonials trailed 4-1 in the 4th when the game was stopped for a lightning delay. After the delay, they scored two in the 5th inning and two in the 7th for the walk-off win. Carter Wagaman singled to left field, bringing Gavin Haifley and Alex Brown home with the winning runs. Wagaman had two hits on the day, as did Haifley. Brown had a 2-run single in the 5th. Bramble, Howard, and Mills each had two hits for Eastern York.

Mauricio Escobar-Rudy (100, 200, High Jump) recorded three individual wins, and Kye’mere Robinson (Triple Jump, Long Jump) and Kyler Benedict (110 hurdles, 300 hurdles) were double winners as the Warriors remained unbeaten at 4-0. Owen Clapsadle ran one of the fastest current times in District 3 this season with a scorching 1:58.0 800 meters. Luke Breighner (1600), Brody Hebert (3200), Adrian Smith (400), Leo Kowalski (Pole Vault), Chuck Norman (Shot Put), and Dylan Cunningham (Javelin) were also winners. Gettysburg also won all three relays. The Warriors will seek to stay unbeaten when they meet Shippensburg on Monday.

The dynamic duo of Caroline and Lily Bannak led the way for the Warriors, as the twin sisters took first and second in both hurdle races and also covered legs of the 4 x 400 relay. Their times of 46.6 and 47.2 in the 300-meter hurdles are among the fastest in District 3 at this point in the season. Two other sisters, Samantha and Hannah Campbell, also took firsts, with Samantha claiming the 800 (2:28.7) and Hannah taking the pole vault (9’). Charlotte Brandauer was a double winner with firsts in the long jump and triple jump. Other individual winners included Lily Arnold (1600), Mirena Kahn (3200), and Alexa Codori (Discus). Gettysburg, now 4-0, will put its unbeaten record to the test next on Monday versus Shippensburg.

Ellie Diehl scored from first base on Bailey Moser’s extra-base hit in the bottom of the eighth to give the Colonials the thrilling walk-off win. The clutch hit was Moser’s third of the day. Paige Hostetter also had three hits for New Oxford. In the pitching circle, the Colonials’ Miranda Leatherman gave up six runs in the first two innings (three earned) and then blanked Eastern the rest of the way in another distance-going performance.
