Gettysburg 0 3 2 0 5

Friday’s tilt between the Gettysburg Warriors and Red Land Patriots was a mirror image of the previous game against Carlisle. The Patriots’ offensive surge was led by a double hat trick by Owen Baker (7 goals), Blake Herman (4 goals), and Rowan Meanor (3 goals). Despite the 16 – 5 final, the Warriors managed to outshoot the visiting Patriots, 43 – 40.
Leading the way offensively for the Warriors were Brennen Double and Brody Granger, who had multi-point nights. Both Double and Granger found the promised land once and set up goals for their teammates. Granger now has nine points on the season, while Double has seven.
Cole Schumacher, Gavin Nevada, and Jackson Sheads all extended their goal-scoring streaks in Friday’s contest to round out the scoring. Schumacher and Nevada have both scored in every contest that they have played, with three and four straight games, respectively. Sheads has a five-game goal-scoring streak, as he was scoreless in the season opener. Newcomer Gavin Hodges picked up his first career assist.
Gabe Wyant and Jarome Benjamin were strong between the pipes as they combined for 11 saves.
Defensively, R J Monn led with four ground balls, Nate Rawlings with 3, and Sam Dickerson vacuumed up 2. Lucas Ramsburg continues to be the anchor with his smart play and stand-up defense.
Jake Snyder had a season-high 12 faceoff wins in the game for the Warriors.
