Gettysburg battled back to tie the game with a strong fourth quarter, sending it into overtime, where Greencastle then prevailed. Josh Herr of the Warriors led all scorers with 24 points, while Brody Wagner added 14. Jackson Wright’s 16 points paced the winning Blue Devils.

Zyan Herr scored 18 points, including the 1,000th of his high school career, as the Bolts defeated York Catholic. Littlestown came out strong after the half to establish control of the game. Christopher Meakin and Brandon Claubaugh each had 14 points. York Catholic’s Jake Dallas had a game-high 26.

Gettysburg won a thriller in Round 2 of the District AAA Tournament. Jahanzaib Nasiri scored a key fall at 172, and Isaiah Jackson (127), Gabe Pecaitis (145), and Jaxon Townsend (189) won in similar fashion to pace the Warriors.

Gettysburg romped to victory in the first round of the District III Wrestling Championships on Tuesday with a win over Penn Manor. Ethan Burgess, Isaiah Jackson, Caden Shearer, Curtis Rebert, Nolan Reinert, and Jaxson Townsend all won by fall.
