Brody Holmes exploded for 35 points in leading the Colonials over Northern. Holmes came out hot but saved his best for the third quarter when he scored 13 or his team’s 25 points, allowing New Oxford to pull away after a tight first half. Braden Billman also had a strong game for the winners with 15 points. Northern’ Ryland Yingler scored 22 points to lead the Bears.

A strong Delone fourth quarter iced the game for the Squires Monday night in McSherrystown. Four Delone players reached double figures in scoring, led by Liam O’Brien’s 14 points and closely followed by Griffin Collins with 13, Braden Smith with 12, and Colin Redding’s 11. Camp Hill’s Brighton McKnight had a game-high 19 points.

Brody Holmes had another big night for the Colonials, scoring a game-high 25 points on the road at Littlestown. Tanner Haugh also reached double figures for New Oxford with 12 points. Soren Reed led LIttlestown with 18.

District 1’s Council Rock came to Gettysburg Tuesday night for the first PIAA Class 3A Team Wrestling Championships round and left with the win. The Warriors jumped to an early lead before Council Rock won six straight matches and took control. After winning the Mid Penn Conference Commonwealth title, Gettysburg finishes its dual-meet season with a fine 19-4 mark that included the District 3 Class 3A Championship.
