Ayden Knight drove in four runs on two hits to lead Bermudian Springs Varsity Eagles past New Oxford 14-1 on Friday. Knight doubled in the third inning, scoring three runs, and hit a sacrifice fly in the third inning, scoring one. Bermudian Springs Varsity Eagles won thanks in part to 12 runs in the third inning. Lane Hubbard doubled, scoring one run, Nate Keller doubled, scoring one run, Knight hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Teegan Byers singled, scoring one run, one run scored on another play, an error scored one run, Hubbard singled, scoring two runs, Keller singled, scoring one run, and Knight doubled, scoring three runs. A single by Cade Baker put New Oxford on the board in the top of the first. New Oxford committed an error, which helped Bermudian Springs Varsity Eagles tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. Branson Diller started on the hill for Bermudian Springs Varsity Eagles. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Baker started the game for New Oxford. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and 11 runs (five earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking four. Bermudian Springs Varsity Eagles amassed 11 hits in the game. Keller, Brayden Heller, Knight, and Hubbard each collected two hits for Bermudian Springs Varsity Eagles. Heller stole two bases.
