Gettysburg overcame a three-run Mustang lead with a five-run fifth. Zach Williams and Carson Kuhns each had three hits, with Williams collecting three RBI. Leadoff hitter Wyatt Sokol had two hits and scored two runs.

Carter Wagaman earned the win for New Oxford, scattering four hits over 6.1 innings. Cade Baker came on to get the final two outs to earn the save. Alex Brown singled in a run, and Wagaman then doubled in two more in the 3rd inning to give New Oxford all the runs they would need. Luke Frey was 3 for 3 with a run scored. Bryan Benedict had two hits and an RBI for Waynesboro.

The 174-mile round trip to Reading and back didn’t go as scripted for the Gettysburg Warriors Lacrosse Tuesday night. The hosts rattled off 10 unanswered goals through the first three quarters as Muhlenburg cruised to victory. While the outcome wasn’t how the Warriors had hoped to start the 2025 campaign, there were highlights on the night. Freshman Carter Jenkins and sophomore Turner Ramsburg combined for 10 saves in the game. Jenkins stopped 7 of 17 shots while Ramsburg turned away 3 of 7 opportunities.
Senior Brennen Double got the Warriors on the board in the 3rd quarter with a snipper that beat the Muhls’ netminder. Alex Cunningham was credited with the assist. Moments later, Cunningham recorded his first career varsity goal to pull his squad to 10 – 2. Junior defenseman Sam Dickerson led the way, causing the Muhls to turn the ball over 3 times. Nate Rawlings and Gavin Nevada lead the Warriors with three groundballs. Rawlings found the penalty box twice as he played aggressive defense.
In Junior Varsity action, the Warriors came up one goal short as they lost to the Junior Muhls 2 – 1. Wyatt Michaels scored late in the 4th quarter, but his team ran out of time to tie the score. Michaels led the team with five shots. Ryder Dailey was solid in net as he saved 50% of the shots faced. Logan Wyant put some bone-crushing hits on the Junior Muhls. Wyant caused three turnovers In the game. Fritz von Kolson’s debut in lacrosse in the United States was impressive as he had seven groundballs and three forced turnovers.
The home opener is Thursday at 4:30 at Warrior Stadium against Warwick.

‘Kye’mere Robinson led the Gettysburg effort with wins in all three jumping events. Brodyn Hebert also won both the 1600 and 3200-meter runs. The Warriors won all three relays.

The Colonials fought back from a seven-run deficit with a big sixth inning before Waynesboro added on and salted the game away. Brooklyn Horick and Ellie Diehl each had two hits for New Oxford, while Lily Lebo and Maura Shirk had two RBI each.
