In sub-freezing temperatures, the Gettysburg Warriors opened their fifth varsity campaign with a historic 8–7 comeback victory over the Muhlenburg Mules, marking their first-ever lacrosse win at Warrior Stadium. Despite trailing by three goals twice, the Warriors showed immense heart to claw back for the win.
Junior Turner Ramsburg anchored the defense, stopping 14 of 21 shots and holding the Mules scoreless for the final 24 minutes of the game. Offensively, freshman Croix Coscia and senior Ty Garretson each netted two goals, while Ethan Cortina, Sam Dickerson, and Gavin Nevada kept the game within reach. With four minutes remaining, freshman Tyler Saynuk navigated through traffic to fire home the game-winner.
The Warriors dominated the physical battle, recording 18 forced turnovers to Muhlenburg’s eight. Nate Rawlings led the defensive charge with six forced turnovers, while Sam Dickerson reached a career milestone by recording his 100th groundball. Grant Johnson also played a pivotal role, leading the team with eight groundballs and two assists.
