State College scored a sudden death goal in defeating New Oxford in the first round of district playoffs. Cameryn Cohee had seven Colonial goals and Sydney Winpigler had five in leading a strong Colonials’ effort. Daelyn Hardnack recorded 14 saves in goal.

Middletown’s Maci Shutt clubbed two homers and knocked in six runs in leading her team to the win over the visiting Colonials. Hannah Becker, Cora Diviney, and Ellie Diehl each had two hits for New Oxford.

A 16-hit attack featuring a seven-run second inning fueled Gettysburg’s win. Megan Musselman led the Warriors with three hits, while Danika Kump, Cate Green, Samantha Carbaugh, and Aubry Forsythe all had two.

Kierney and Leah Strawsburg both had three hits and Sydney McCleaf allowed just four hits and a run in a route-going pitching performance as the red-hot Canners bested Delone.

The Bolts plated four quick runs in the bottom of the first, but were then held off the scoreboard for the rest of the game. The Bubblers pulled ahead in the fifth and went on the add some insurance. Sarah Loveless provided a bright spot for Llittestown with two hits and two RBI.

New Oxford tied things up with a run in the seventh, only to have Susquehannock walk off with the winning run the bottom half of the inning. The Colonials outhit their opponents 7-2 but were victimized by two errors in the field. Miranda Leatherman was the tough-luck loser, giving up just two hits and three earned runs. Maura Shirk and Cora Diviney each had two hits for New Oxford.
