The Gettysburg Warriors lost to James Buchanan in 3 sets, 21-25, 9-25, 16-25.
Jazlyn Looney and Maren Miller combined for 12 kills. Sierra Shepherd and Cate Green combined for 12 digs during the loss. Green also dished out 17 assists in the final league game of the season.
Gettysburg hosts local rival New Oxford in non-league play on Thursday, October 9th in a Dig Pink match for breast cancer awareness.
Gettysburg’s JV also lost in 3 sets – winning the first set 25-16 and dropping the next two 23-25 and 12-15.

Gettysburg beat local rival New Oxford Colonials in 3 sets after trailing by as many as eight points and holding off three set points coming back from 21-24 to win the third in a thrilling 29-27 win. Maren Miller had four aces, nine digs, and seven kills. Alexa Codori, Addie Ketterman, and Jazlyn Looney each had six kills – a well-balanced offense directed by two setters – Senior Cate Green with 14 assists, and junior Tori Reber had 12 assists and three aces.
Varsity Set Scores:
25-14, 25-16, 29-27
Gettysburg won the JV game in 2 sets – 25-20, 25-20. Shelby Asbury had nine digs, and A’leyjah Collins had 10 assists and five kills.
