Bermudian Springs vs. West York

Unbeaten West York defeated Bermudian Springs, 46-14. Gavin Reinert rushed for 64 yards and both Bermudian Springs touchdowns. West York quarterback Jensen Ferber threw for 225 yards and three touchdowns, and Brennan Lightner returned an interception for a score.

Gettysburg vs. Red Land

Gettysburg fell to Red Land, 49-48, in double overtime at Cedar Cliff High School when the Patriots stopped quarterback Grant Johnson just short of the goal line on a two-point conversion attempt. After both teams scored in the first overtime, Red Land took its first lead of the night on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Tucker Baker to Tyson Kirchner on fourth-and-12. Johnson answered with a 2-yard touchdown run, and Gettysburg went for the win.

Johnson threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns, and running back Trevor Cunningham rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries. Kirchner led Red Land with 201 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 38 carries, and Baker completed 18 of 26 passes for 217 yards. Gettysburg is 4-3; Red Land improved to 3-4.

Littlestown vs. James Buchanan

Littlestown defeated James Buchanan, 37-6, its largest margin of victory this season and its fourth straight home win. The Thunderbolts improved to 5-2 and play Delone Catholic next. James Buchanan fell to 1-6.

Central York defeated New Oxford, 70-31, at New Oxford. The Panthers led 28-10 at halftime and broke the game open with 28 points in the third quarter. Jamin Ilgenfritz completed 11 of 17 passes for 299 yards and three touchdowns, Legend Johnson rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns, and Jerome LaRue Jr. caught four passes for 115 yards and a touchdown.

New Oxford fell to 2-5 and plays South Western next. Central York improved to 5-2.

Gettysburg won the varsity game, 2-0, and Chambersburg won the JV game, 2-0. Aleah Jacobs scored both varsity goals, the first at 0:43 of the first quarter on an assist from Abby Hirnesian and the second unassisted at 10:19 of the second quarter. Gettysburg goalkeeper Heidi Waddell made five saves; Chambersburg’s Lacey Mooney made three.

Delone Catholic won, 4-0. Dorothy Grimm and Ella Staub scored twice each; Amelia Joyce assisted on one of Grimm’s goals. Delone goalkeepers Grace Grimm and Lucy Shrader combined for the shutout with two and three saves.

Bermudian Springs won, 5-0. Evelyn Peters scored three goals, and Jozlyn Willow and McKenna Johnston added one each. Bermudian Springs outshot Delone Catholic 12-4 on goal and had six corners to Delone’s two. Delone goalkeeper Lucy Shrader made five saves.

Delone Catholic won the varsity match, 2-0, behind nine saves from freshman goalkeeper Matt Holtz. Giorgio Lima scored in the first half after a Will Holtz shot was saved and Holtz fed him the rebound, and Will Holtz added a second-half goal on a through ball from Isaac Rasher. Bermudian Springs goalkeeper Max Crews made five saves. Bermudian Springs won the JV match, 4-1.

Audrey McKee led the varsity with eight kills; Alexa Young had six kills and 10 digs, and Lily Kane added five kills. Zoe Gregg had 14 assists, Maddye Slonaker had eight assists and three aces, and Kenzie Groft had 12 digs.
