Ava Peterson scored a first-period goal for host Biglerville and Eva Foster tied the game for Bishop McDevitt less than a minute later. That was the be the extent of the scoring as the teams battled through three more periods, plus overtime, finally settling for a 1-1 tie.

Gettysburg : 4 Waynesboro : 0
Gettysburg turned in a dominant win at home vs. Waynesboro on Thursday. Carly Schumacher scored three of her team’s four goals; Abigail Williams added the fourth.

Singles 1: Gettysburg’s senior, Carmen Oshunrinade, fought bravely but was bested by Chambersburg’s Sarah Vessah in two sets with scores of 0-6 and 1-6.
Singles 2: The Chambersburg streak continued as Charlie Kalathas faced off against Gettysburg’s Auvrie Coscia. Kalathas secured a commanding win with scores of 0-6 and 0-6.
Singles 3: Parishi Bhanu of Gettysburg gave it her all in a more closely fought match. losing 3-6 and 4-6.
Doubles 1: Maja Engl and Ava Fair of Gettysburg faced Marley Christopher and Ashlee Barrett of Chambersburg. The Chambersburg duo came out on top with scores of 1-6 and 0-6.
Doubles 2: Wynter Frenette and Molly Heaton of Gettysburg experienced a challenging match against Reese Miller and Leah Wadel from Chambersburg, resulting in another win for Chambersburg at 0-6 and 0-6.
In the District Doubles category:
Gettysburg’s dynamic duo, Auvrie Coscia and Parishi Bhanu, found themselves up against a formidable pair from Chambersburg, Sarah Vessah and Charlie Kalathas. Chambersburg’s pair showcased their synergy and took the match with a 0-8 score.

The powerful Colonial girls swept to another victory, winning every match-up in straight sets.

Big Spring swept Gettysburg in three close games. Maya Brainard had 18 assists, India Mitchell had 15 digs, and Emily Holtzople had 6 kills for the Warriors. Alexa Codori had 5 blocks.
