Heyden Martin, Alvin Ramirez Idelfonso and Ian Felipe-Hernandez scored for Bermudian Springs. Andres Vizcaino Lucario assisted on Martin’s goal, and Julian Aguilar assisted on the other two. The Eagles’ junior varsity team also won, 1-0. Max Crews made five saves for the Eagles.

Boys Soccer — September 29

Littlestown 3, James Buchanan 1

Littlestown’s goals came from Nick Peart (assisted by Alex Lua), Alex Lua (Landon Schachle) and Gavin Lee. James Buchanan’s goal was scored by Judah Starnes-Nuzzolo, assisted by Gavin Swailes. The score sheet lists the goals at 33:08, 25:02, 9:45 and 22:32, respectively. Littlestown had 14 shots, seven on goal, and four corners. Nick Albert made three saves; James Buchanan’s Raiden Mathews made four.

Lily Kane led Delone with 10 kills, and Kaitlyn Synnamon had eight. Zoe Gregg recorded 12 assists, Maddye Slonaker 11 assists and five aces, Lydia Rudolph four aces, Alexa Young 18 digs and Maya Robinson six digs.

Addison Elliott and Claire Plumley won singles matches for Bermudian Springs. Ruth Worley and Lilah Nelson won first doubles, and Braelyn Black and Kyria Jacoby received a second-doubles forfeit. Dover won at second singles.

Baileigh Stetter won first singles for Delone, and Hanover won second singles and third singles by forfeit. Delone’s Chloe Eckert and Catalina Caretti won first doubles, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3; Abigail Chaney and Jocelyn Neil won second doubles, 6-1, 6-1.

New Oxford’s point came at second doubles, where Ellie Yates and Marlene Ramirez-Contreas won 6-2, 6-2. Penn Manor took the other four courts: Ella House defeated Maggie Socks, 6-0, 6-1; Maddie Eberts beat Claire Lawrence, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3; Abby Karlow beat Annabel Sieg, 6-1, 6-3; and Claire Myers and Chloe Stevens defeated Hillary Christner and Caydence Martin, 6-0, 6-3.

Delone’s Benjamin Farbman led the boys field in 17:23. Bermudian’s Owen Dull finished in 18:33, and Biglerville’s Trevor Keeran in 19:54. Delone’s Abigail Evans led the girls in 20:10; Bermudian’s Olivia Dull ran 22:57, and Biglerville’s Joy Chapman 25:08.

Cross-Country — September 29, Littlestown

Delone Catholic’s boys went 1-3 in the four-team meet, with their only win against Littlestown; coach RC Zinn reported a 27-28 loss to York Catholic. Freshman Ben Hall set a Delone course record in 18:24. Brody Lehr ran a lifetime best 19:07, and Owen Smith finished third for Delone in 19:42.

Delone’s girls went 3-1, with their only loss to York Catholic. Alley Colantoni finished in 22:43, five seconds short of the Delone girls course record. Katherine Garcia ran a lifetime best 22:52, and Chloe Parry a lifetime best 25:12.

Cross-Country — September 26, Carlisle Invitational

Gettysburg had two top-20 finishers at the Carlisle Invitational: Will Pitzer placed 19th in the freshman boys race, and Brody Hebert was 20th in the Boys Challenge. Coach Brian Mount reported that most of the Warriors ran personal-best times, with a few season bests. Meet results.
