Michael Phalen scored three goals to lead the Fairfield offense, while Colin Putt contributed a goal and assisted on three others. Matthew Fisher also found the net to round out the scoring. In goal, Jude made 16 saves to help secure the win. The Knights jumped out to a three-goal lead before Delone could answer on Isaac Rasher’s goal, but it wasn’t enough as Fairfield cruised to the home win.

Gettysburg earned a 3-0 field hockey win over Biglerville on Thursday night, scoring once in the first, second, and fourth quarters. Adrian Moreno, Aleah Jacobs and Avary Chamberlin scored for the Warriors, with Jacobs also recording two assists. Gettysburg goalkeeper Heidi Waddell made seven saves to preserve the shutout. The Warriors also won the JV game, 5-0.

The Colonials earned a 4-1 girls’ tennis victory over Susquehannock on Thursday, winning two of three singles matches and sweeping doubles play. Maggie Socks and Annabel Sieg posted straight-set singles victories for the Colonials, while Susquehannock’s Margaret Mabon won a close match at No. 2 singles. New Oxford’s Hillary Christner and Caydence Martin won at No. 1 doubles, while Ellie Yates and Marlene Ramirez-Contreas completed the victory with a win at No. 2 doubles.

Southwestern won four of five matches to defeat Bermudian Springs, 4-1, Wednesday. Bermudian’s Addison Elliott earned her team’s point at No. 1 singles, defeating Emma Carson in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (3). Southwestern took the remaining two singles matches and swept doubles play to secure the team victory.

Delone Catholic swept West York, 3-0, in girls’ volleyball, winning by scores of 25-17, 25-11, and 25-20. Lily Kane led the Squirettes with 10 kills and added three aces, while NaTaya Glacken had five kills and Audrey McKee added four kills, four blocks and three aces. Zoe Gregg recorded 12 assists, Maddye Slonaker had nine, and Kenzie Groft led the defense with 10 digs. Delone also won the JV match, 2-0.

The Gettysburg Warriors swept Red Land in three sets, completing a sweep of West Shore School District opponents this week after also defeating Cedar Cliff in three sets Tuesday evening.
Gettysburg won by scores of 25-21, 25-21 and 25-18, improving its season record to 2-1. The Warriors begin league play Tuesday against last year’s division champion, Greencastle.
