A Gettysburg woman is running for the state house seat representing the 91st district, which consists of part of Adams County and is home to many historic towns, including Gettysburg.
Shanin Caplener, a Democrat, has been a resident of Adams County for more than a decade. She has worked in administrative operations and says she is passionate about fairness, equality, and justice.
“I bring my skillset from Administrative Operations with energy, detail and the patience to listen what others need,” Caplener said in a statement. “I need your help to take on this challenge, I want to listen, meet and discuss what we can do together to give our district a fresh start for all of our futures.”
Caplener will be available for petition signing on Feb. 9 and 10 at the Democratic Headquarters on Chambersburg Street in Gettysburg.
On Feb. 9, she will be available from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Democratic Headquarters, Chambersburg St. On Feb. 10, she will be available from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ragged Edge Coffee House.
The 91st Legislative District seat is currently held by Republican Dan Moul.
