Thousands of daffodils of every shape, size, and color came to the Wyndham Hotel in Gettysburg this weekend for the 2022 meeting of the American Daffodil Society.
The attendees and contestants came from around the country and as far away as Ireland to display their flowers, their photographs, their genetic trees, and to learn more about the cultivation and display of daffodils.
Dozens of winners were announced in dozens of entry categories.
Presentations included “How to be a great beginner,” “Turning daffodils around,” and “Conflicts and problems that arise during judging.”
Gettysburg College professor Stephanie Sellers provided a welcome address.
The weekend also included a beekeeping operation, a garden party hat contest, and musical arrangements.
It was quiet at the conference site yesterday as most of the group took the day off to tour the area.
