It’s that time of year again! As summer heats up, you may be looking for ways to stay cool and entertained. If you’re a book lover, the Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale is the perfect opportunity to stock up on reading materials for those lazy summer days.
This year’s sale features thousands of used paper and hardback books for all ages and on virtually any subject. Prices range from $.50-1.00 for paperbacks/child’s hardbacks, and $2 per adult hardback. A bargain collection of CD’s, DVD’s, vinyl recordings, puzzles, and games will also be available. Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card.

The sale will be held at the Redding Auction Barn at 1085 Table Rock Road, Gettysburg, on Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26 from 9 am to 7 pm, and Saturday, July 27 from 9 am to 2 pm.
In addition to the vast selection of books and other items, the sale also features a food truck and picnic area to meet hungry shoppers’ needs. And, for those looking to support library programs, all proceeds from both the sale and the library’s used bookstore help maintain vital community resources.
The Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale offers some specials including a 5 book giveaway to each child 12 and under, 15 free books to current teachers for classroom use on Friday, and the popular Great Bag of Books sale on Saturday.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to support your library and snag some great deals on reading material. Happy reading!
