Thanks to a team of some 80 energetic volunteers, the Adams County Planting Partnership, of which the Watershed Alliance is a founding partner!, distributed more than 8,000 native tree and shrub seedlings free of charge to local residents last month. When mature, these native plants will help sequester carbon dioxide from our air and pollutants from our waters, as well as cool and beautify Adams County neighborhoods.
The Adams County Planting Partnership is an alliance of the Adams County Conservation District, the Watershed Alliance of Adams County, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (through its Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership), and the residents of Adams County.
