The following is a summary of news and upcoming schedules from the six Adams County School districts.
Families explored math and science in Biglerville last week, while school board meetings, fall theater and Veterans Day activities fill the November calendar across Adams County’s six public school districts. Here are district updates and upcoming dates for the week of November 9, 2026.
Upper Adams
Biglerville Elementary teachers hosted a family Math and Science Night on Thursday, November 5, drawing dozens of families for games and hands-on learning. Families learned games designed to help students practice math facts and build number sense, enjoyed snacks, experimented with electricity at a Keystone Kidspace station and entered drawings for baskets of math games and prizes.
The event was made possible by a generous grant from The Canner Foundation and support from the Biglerville Elementary PTO, Snyder’s of Hanover and Keystone Kidspace.
Upper Adams Intermediate School has a Veterans Day program and Orchard of Excellence event scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, from 9:30 to 10:10 a.m. The district calendar also lists a FAFSA Completion Night at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 12. A paint night fundraiser supporting the agricultural lab, with an opportunity to visit the book fair, is scheduled at the intermediate school Monday, November 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Gettysburg Area
Gettysburg Area High School’s fall play, “The Importance of Being Earnest & Other Wilde Nights,” is listed for Friday and Saturday, November 13 and 14, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Elementary parent-teacher conferences at Franklin Township, James Gettys and Lincoln elementary schools are scheduled Thursday, November 12, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Monday, November 16, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The district’s current online calendar identifies Wednesday through Friday, November 18–20, as America 250 virtual learning days. The next school board meeting is scheduled Monday, November 16, at 7 p.m. at 900 Biglerville Road.
Conewago Valley
The school board will meet Monday, November 9, at 7 p.m. at the district administration office, 130 Berlin Road in New Oxford. The agenda includes a proposed resolution committing the district to keep any 2027–28 school tax increase within the state’s Act 1 index.
Other proposed actions include authorizing a Conewago Township Elementary playground project costing no more than $246,967.74 and approving five courses for 2027–28: AP Psychology, Advanced Floral Design, Plant Science & Landscape Design Capstone, Advanced Agricultural Leadership & Work-Based Learning, and Technical Math I. These are agenda proposals awaiting board action.
Bermudian Springs
The Bermudian Springs school board’s next regular meeting is Tuesday, November 10, at 7 p.m. in Middle School Learning Commons A. The district says the public may attend and that recordings are posted after meetings.
Fairfield Area
Fairfield’s November school board meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 16, at 7 p.m. in the District Board Room. The district’s published schedule lists no separate November study session; the board functions as a committee of the whole.
Littlestown Area
Littlestown’s published 2026 board schedule lists a work session Monday, November 9, at 6 p.m., followed by a regular meeting Monday, November 16, at 6 p.m. Meetings are listed for the District Office Board Room, Door 12, at 162 Newark Street.
