Democratic candidate for PA Auditor General Malcolm Kenyatta visited the Gettysburg rec park today and spoke to a crowd of Democrats about his campaign.
“You live in a county where we had a conflict about the future of our country,” he said. “This moment is going to require us to act on a concept: “that we give a damn about each other; that our neighbor is worth fighting for.”

Kenyatta said the job of the Auditor General is to advance the idea of community and watch out for citizens.
Kenyatta said that if elected he would assure programs deliver for families who need it most, create a government that works for the people, and help assure every child gets a high-quality education. “That’s in our constitution,” he said. Kenyatta said the Shapiro administration had released $1 billion for education. “We’re fighting for another $1 billion for our kids.”
“This is work we have to do together,”said Kenyatta. “We need to make it easier for people to vote; to give them faith. Every community is worth fighting for.”
Candidate for U.S. House Pennsylvania District Beth Farnham and candidate for PA Senate District 33 Cameron Schroy also spoke at the event.
Despite the cold and rainy day, the Democrats cheered for their candidates and expressed optimism for the upcoming election.
We need to work together “to do the important things,” said Schroy.
