The 68th Grammy Awards delivered several historic and headline-making wins Sunday night in Los Angeles, with top honors going to Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar and SZA as the Recording Academy celebrated the past year in music.
Bad Bunny won Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, marking the first time an all–Spanish-language album has claimed the ceremony’s most prestigious prize. The win capped a dominant year for the global superstar and placed Latin music at the center of the Grammys’ biggest category.
Kendrick Lamar and SZA took home Record of the Year for “Luther,” a collaboration that blended contemporary R&B with a classic soul sample. The song edged out a competitive field that included releases from Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga.
Lamar also collected Best Rap Album for GNX, adding to his long list of Grammy wins and reinforcing his standing as one of the most decorated artists of his generation. The dual victories made him one of the night’s biggest winners.
Song of the Year went to Billie Eilish for “Wildflower,” a track released during the eligibility window despite originating from a 2024 album. The award recognized songwriting excellence rather than performance or production and added another major Grammy to Eilish’s résumé.
In one of the evening’s early highlights, Olivia Dean was named Best New Artist, emerging from a strong class of nominees to claim the breakthrough honor. The award traditionally signals long-term industry support and visibility for its recipients.
Other notable category winners included Lola Young, who earned Best Pop Solo Performance, and Jelly Roll, who won Best Contemporary Country Album. Pharrell Williams received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, recognizing his influence on music and culture beyond the charts.
