Calling All Artists! Registration is now open for HGAC’s 2026 BarnArt Show and Sale, to be held on June 12-14 at the G.A.R. Hall, 53 E. Middle Street in Gettysburg. Interested artists can register to show up to three works. The registration fee is $15 per work. Every artwork must depict a barn or a detail of a barn. Proceeds from the BarnArt Show benefit HGAC’s Barn Preservation Project and Grant Program, which funds grants to barn owners in Adams County to make needed repairs.

Registration will close when 50 artists register for the show or by May 1 at the latest. Last year, 50 artists had registered by mid-March, so if you are interested, don’t delay!
The Opening Night reception for the show will be held on Friday, June 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. Awards are announced at 7:30 p.m. Join us as we raise our glasses for the familiar toast, “For the Barns!” The BarnArt Show continues on Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and again on Sunday, June 14, from noon until 4 p.m. All three days are free and open to the public.
Awards are given in the categories of fine art and photography. First prize is $1,000, second prize $500. There is also an Artist’s Choice and People’s Choice award. HGAC is honored to have as our BarnArt judge this year contemporary maximalist and surrealist artist Sarah Jacobs (www.sarahjacobsart.com).
