The Gettysburg Warriors met the Hershey Trojans yesterday, coming away with a 5-2 win.
The 3rd inning proved to be pivotal for the Warriors, who took control and scored five runs, showcasing their offensive power. The inning started with Landon Felix hitting a single, followed by Wes Coolbaugh getting a base hit. Carson Kuhns and Tegan Kuhns both received walks, loading the bases for the Warriors. Bryce Rudisill stepped up to the plate and hit a grand slam, sending Carson Kuhns, Tegan Kuhns, and Wes Coolbaugh across the plate. Landon Felix made it back to the plate. Carson Kuhns came through with an RBI single, allowing Landon Felix to score the fifth run of the inning.

The Trojans were determined to fight back in the 7th and managed to score two runs. Colorossi started the inning with a double, followed by Umberger drawing a walk. Deshong delivered a double, driving in both Colorossi and Umberger. Despite their efforts, the Trojans’ rally fell short.
For the Trojans, Ebert pitched 4.1 innings, giving up six hits and five runs while striking out six. Scheib took over for 1.2 innings, allowing no hits or runs. On the Warriors’ side, Braden Manning pitched 3.1 innings, surrendering three hits and no runs while striking out four. Carson Kuhns then pitched 3.2 innings, giving up three hits and two runs while striking out four.
