Bendersville Fire Company Carnival starts this week

The Bendersville Fire Company will kick off its annual community carnival Thursday, offering three evenings of food, live entertainment, bingo and family-friendly activities.

The carnival will run July 30 through Aug. 1 at the fire company’s grounds, 144 Park St., Bendersville.

Each evening will feature games, cash prizes, small games of chance, bingo, live music and a variety of food options. The inside kitchen will serve sit-down dinners from 4 to 8 p.m., while the outside kitchen will remain open throughout the evening. Ice cream will be available from Half Pint Creamery.

Live bands and special bingo events begin at 7 p.m. each night. Thursday’s entertainment will feature Sticktime, along with a Wine & Spirits Bingo. Dean Crawford and the Dunn’s River Band will perform Friday during Meat & Seafood Bingo, and Cheap Sneakers will take the stage Saturday while Gift Card Bingo is held.

The inside kitchen menu changes slightly each night, with featured meals including beef or chicken pot pie on Thursday and roast beef or chicken platters on Friday and Saturday. Other menu items available throughout the carnival include hot beef or hot chicken sandwiches, pit beef sandwiches, barbecue sandwiches, shrimp and chicken baskets, soups, french fries, desserts and beverages.

Small Games of Chance, including gun and cash bowl games, will be offered throughout each evening.
