– Gettysburg College junior Emma Bertrando (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) was named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All-South Region Second Team it was announced on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
A three-time All-Centennial Conference honoree, Bertrando earned her first all-region accolade following a career year on the turf. The junior midfielder finished as the team leader in points with a career-high 27 on 11 goals and five assists. She tied for sixth overall in the conference in both points and goals.
Bertrando tied for second in the CC with six game-winning goals, including overtime winners against Washington and Dickinson. Bertrando scored two goals in four different games and ended the season with five goals over her final three contests. In 52 career games, she has posted 53 points on 21 goals and 11 assists.

Gettysburg produced an 11-9 overall record and finished 5-5 in the conference. The team qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2012 and earned a 1-0 victory over Bryn Mawr College in the opening round. Against CC champ and sixth-ranked Johns Hopkins in the conference semifinals, the Bullets fought until the final buzzer before falling by a 5-4 decision.
