An anonymous donor has the Biglerville Fire Department with $1,900 to prepare take-out Easter dinners. The gift was for all local community members to enjoy.
The drive-through style meals were handed out on Saturday, March 23rd from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Mayor Phil Wagner
worked among the volunteers directing traffic in the drizzle. Erma Weikert, Ladies Auxiliary, cheerfully handed out the piping hot boxed meals with others in the bay. The Easter Bunny was even on site to provide children with candy-filled eggs. The cool rain did not deter people from the drive-through.
While most drive-through events in the past have served 250 meals, this one was the highest at 575 meals served. Many thanks to the anonymous donor who has blessed our community with this gift.
