Black Lives Matter to Protest Again on Friday in Gettysburg

A local contingent of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) advocacy group will hold its third rally of the year in the Lincoln Square at 5:00 p.m. on Friday July 10.

“We will be demanding that Black Lives Matter and will once again bring out people who demand inclusion, equality, equity, human rights, ending of systemic racism, defunding of the police, removal of qualified immunity, stopping black voter suppression, and standing against the gentrification of historically black neighborhoods,” said organizer Matthew Anselmi.

At the last rally on June 14 over 300 demonstrators crowded the Square.

BLM is an organized movement advocating for non-violent civil disobedience in protest against incidents of police brutality against African-American people.
