Bringing Light To The NIght

As the holiday season approaches, many individuals may find it challenging. To offer hope, connection, and healing, Healthy Adams County and the Gettysburg Area School District are joining forces to host Bring Light to the Night, a community event designed to support those in need.

The event will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church, located at 208 Baltimore St., Gettysburg, PA. Activities begin at 5:45 p.m., with a community walk starting at 6 p.m. Participants will walk together from the church, through the town square, and back to the church, symbolizing unity and shared support.

Following the walk, Bruce Bartz, founder of The Bartz Brigade, will lead a brief discussion. The Bartz Brigade, a York-based nonprofit, focuses on suicide prevention and awareness, particularly among adolescents, young adults, and military members.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with others while enjoying light refreshments and games. The event is free and open to all, offering a welcoming space for healing and connection during the holiday season.
