Women beat Dickinson for 30th straight home win
The Gettysburg women’s basketball team, ranked 12th in the latest D3hoops.com poll, held Dickinson to one point for more than 13 minutes in the second half to turn a seven-point edge into a 22-point lead en route to a 59-39 win. The win stretched the Bullets’ home winning streak to 30 games and secured a home game in the Centennial Conference tournament. Gettysburg can lock up a first-round bye with a win on Saturday at Haverford.
Alayna Arnolie led a balanced attack for the Bullets with 13 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Jameson Mott reached double figures for the second straight game with 11 points.

Trailing 3-0 after Clair Marion hit a 3-pointer just 1:08 into the game, Shinya Lee connected on layups on back-to-back possessions for a 4-3 edge. A Mott pull-up jumper and triple stretched the lead to 9-3 with 5:33 on the clock. The lead remained between four and six points until a 4-1 burst stretched the advantage to 17-8 in the final 71 seconds of the quarter. Dickinson, however, hit two 3-pointers in the final minute to close the deficit to 18-14 after one period.
Gettysburg grew the lead to eight in the first 3:19 of the second quarter before the Red Devils once again trimmed the margin to four nearly four minutes later. Baskets from Mott and AB Holsinger stretched the lead to 31-22 before Caitlin Blackman pulled up and connected to close the deficit to seven at the intermission.
An Arnolie 3-pointer in the opening minute of the third quarter made it a double-digit game for the first time, but Blackman responded with a corner trey. After Emily Violante (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) and Mia Chapman traded baskets to make it 36-29, Dickinson missed its next 17 attempts from the floor while Gettysburg scored 14 straight points to open up a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter. The Bullets netted just seven points in the final 8:35 of the third quarter but built a 43-29 lead with a defense that forced six turnovers.
Gettysburg scored eight straight to start the fourth and open up a 51-29 advantage with 6:09 to play. Dickinson netted six of the next seven points to make it 52-35 with 4:18 to play, but that’s as close as the visitors could get.
Mia Chapman was the only player to reach double figures for the Red Devils, netting 11 points.
Men roll to victory, securing a playoff spot
The Bullet men gradually built an 18-point lead at halftime that was never challenged by Dickinson in the second half for a 74-52 victory. Gettysburg clinched its fourth straight Centennial Conference playoff bid with the victory. The Bullets are currently tied with Franklin & Marshall for second place, one game ahead of Swarthmore and Ursinus and one game behind Johns Hopkins with three games to play. Gettysburg can lock down a home game with a win on Saturday at Haverford.

Carl Schaller led Gettysburg with 20 points, including 16 in the opening 20 minutes. He also had four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Jordan Stafford also reached the 20-point mark, scoring 14 of his 20 after intermission. He had four rebounds.
Isaiah Edmond and Akim Jose (Port-au-Prince, Haiti/Notre Dame Fairfield [Conn.]) traded baskets to open the game before a Stafford layup gave Gettysburg a 4-2 edge. Brandon Wiercinski drained a 3-pointer on the other end for a 5-4 edge before Nate William and David Petrusev traded baskets. A Schaller fast-break layup and foul, however, gave the hosts a 9-7 edge with 15:22 to play they didn’t relinquish the rest of the way. That sparked an 8-0 run over just 2 minutes, 18 seconds for a 14-7 lead. A Joseph triple made it a double-digit game for the first time at 22-12 midway through the half. Holding a 29-18 lead, Kosta Radulovic layup and Stafford breakaway turnaround in the lane stretched the lead to 15 with 4:37 showing. Schaller got a wild driving coast-to-coast layup to make it a 43-25 game at the intermission.
Joseph made it a 21-point game on the second half’s opening possession, draining a step-back trey. Dickinson scored 10 of the game’s next 16 to get back to within 15 with 16:12 showing but two Stafford free throws and an RJ Bennett (Hartford, Conn./Taft School) layup stretched the lead back to 19 in the next 52 seconds. The lead remained between 17 and 22 until 6-0 burst turned a 63-45 game into a 69-45 lead in just 1 minute, 50 seconds. The lead grew to as large as 27 en route to the 22-point win.
David Petrusev led the Red Devils with 22 points, eight rebounds and four steals.
