
United Soccer Coaches Region V Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. The Gettysburg College women’s soccer team holds the No. 7 spot for the second consecutive week in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Region V poll.
The Bullets (6-1-1, 2-1-1 CC) stay ranked in seventh after going 2-0 last week. The Orange and Blue captured a 2-0 victory at non-conference opponent Lebanon Valley College last Wednesday and rallied back for the 2-1 win at Centennial Conference foe Bryn Mawr College on Saturday. Senior Erika Muskus (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) scored three of the team’s four goals last week.
Five other CC institutions are ranked in the regional poll. Johns Hopkins University holds the No. 1 spot for the third consecutive week and is followed by McDaniel College at No. 2, Messiah University at No. 3, the University of Scranton at No. 4, Franklin & Marshall College at No. 5, Dickinson College at No. 6, and York College (Pa.) at No. 10. In the national rankings, Johns Hopkins is ranked second, McDaniel is ninth, Messiah is 14th, and Scranton is 22nd.
Gettysburg takes on second-ranked and undefeated Johns Hopkins on Wednesday at Clark Field beginning at 7 p.m.
