Celebrate Black History Month at the Gettysburg rec park

Tell your friends

You’re invited to join together in a series of informal social events during February to learn about Black history.

The meetings continue on Wednesday Jan. 16 and 23 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sterner Building in the Gettysburg rec park.

The family events include posters about Black history from around the world, guest speakers, children’s entertainment and story telling, dancing, a trivia contest, and food.

On Wed. Jan 16 the speaker will be Scott Hancock from Gettysburg College.

This year’s theme is Black Health and Wellness.
