Charles Wesley Goodrich, age 83, of Aspers, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, surrounded by his family at home.
He was born on January 25, 1943, in Scranton, a son of Ernest and Evelyn (Ross) Goodrich. Chuck proudly served his country for three years in the U.S. Army. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Scranton. On December 8, 1973, he married Sue Frazier at Camp Hill United Methodist Church. He was an auditor for the state government. Chuck enjoyed reading, giving advice, working in his garden, and spent most of his free time volunteering to help others. Some of his volunteer work includes being his church treasurer, serving on the school strategic planning committee, President’s Council Chairman, Good News Jail and Prison Ministry, Administrative Assistant in the Chaplain’s Office – Adam’s County Adult Correctional Complex, and teacher for the 2nd Chance Walking Your Faith Class, also for Adam’s County Adult Correctional Complex.
He was a good husband and father; he always took care of his family. He was very spiritual in his faith – any time not spent with his family, he spent helping others. He was proud of his time served in the military and took great pride in having worked for the CIA.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Steve Goodrich (Stephanie Golden), Jim (Caryn) Goodrich, Brian (Melissa) Goodrich, Katie Jacoby, CarrieAnn Goodrich, Stacy Goodrich (Jake Hockensmith), Tia (Tommy) Wolf; sister, Jeanette Wenkosky; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and other extended relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Evelyn; daughter, Tina, and sister, Nancy Vandelinde.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. The funeral service will be held at Idaville UB Church on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at the church. Reverend Marc Webb will officiate the funeral. Chuck will be laid to rest in the Biglerville Cemetery.
