Cheerios discontinues three flavors, disappointing some fans

Cheerios has quietly discontinued three of its flavored cereals, sparking frustration among loyal fans. The affected varieties—Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios, and Honey Nut Cheerios Minis—are no longer in production, according to confirmation from the brand.

Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch, launched in 2013, was known for its blend of oat clusters, crispy flakes, and the classic Cheerios base. Its texture and balanced sweetness made it a longtime favorite among households.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheerios, introduced in 2017, offered a rich twist inspired by the chocolate-peanut butter pairing popularized by other cereals. It quickly gained a following for its flavor balance and nutty undertones.

The most recent of the trio, Honey Nut Cheerios Minis, debuted just last year. Despite a warm reception and claims by fans that the miniature version improved on the original, it was short-lived and has already been removed from store shelves.

The announcement has left many customers disheartened, with online reviews filled with pleas for the flavors’ return. Some expressed surprise that the cereals were pulled without broader notice, as they now struggle to find remaining boxes in stores.

While Cheerios continues to introduce new products—such as seasonal Frosted Lemon Cheerios and protein-infused varieties—space on shelves remains limited. As new innovations arrive, some older products inevitably make way.

For fans of the discontinued cereals, this may be the final chance to grab a box before they vanish for good.
