The Gettysburg Green Gathering, the Creation Care Task Force at St. James Lutheran Church, and the Green Gettysburg Book Club are sponsoring a viewing of the film “Common Ground.” The event is free and open to the public.
“Common Ground” is a new feature-length film on regenerative agriculture. It argues that American farmers can increase their revenue while simultaneously enhancing top soil, reducing erosion, and addressing climate change by sequestering carbon. According to the filmmakers, the secret lies in a set of new—but also very old—farming practices centered on maintaining the life of the soil.
The film will be screened in Gettysburg on Tuesday, October 15, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Valentine Hall auditorium at the United Lutheran Seminary (61 Seminary Ridge, Gettysburg). Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
After the film, apple cider and cookies will be available in the snack bar adjoining the auditorium.
