The Adams County Community Foundation has announced its second annual grants from The Fund for Littlestown, a memorial fund created by the late Dick Selby.
The grants were made possible by The Bernard, Mary and Richard Selby Family Memorial Fund.

The Fund will provide charitable support for unmet community needs in Littlestown for generations to come. The 2020 grants for Littlestown include six different organizations.
The $2,500 grant for The Adams County Office for Aging – Littlestown Senior Center will help pay for new furnishings to make the center more welcoming and comfortable for Littlestown seniors.
The $1,000 grant for Alpha Fire Company No. 1 will help to purchase new helmets meeting current safety standards for the members of the community’s volunteer fire department.
The $2,000 grant for the Borough of Littlestown will help Littlestown Park, an important part of the community that provides residents access to playing fields, picnic grounds and a pool. The grant will pay for new replacement trees and ensure that the space remains green.
The $4,000 grant for the Littlestown Baseball/Softball for Youth, Inc. will help to upgrade players’ equipment, provide players with a picnic table, and help to support repairs to the dugout, fencing, and field. The organization also aims to keep the cost of participation low in order to allow more children to participate.
The $4,000 grant for the Littlestown YMCA will help to provide scholarships for young people whose families cannot otherwise afford to enroll them, ensuring that they will be able to join in the center’s different summer activities.
The $4,000 grant for New Hope Ministries will help support the emergency assistance offered for critical needs such as food, rent, utilities, and transportation. Additional information about the Adams County Community Foundation is available information is available at www.adamscountycf.org.
