Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT), the non-profit 501c3 organization currently in its 17th year at 49 York Street within the first block of Lincoln Square in Gettysburg, PA, is accepting registrations now for Summer Theatre Camps for any student K-9th Grade. “Once again, GCT is thrilled to have a handful of instructors that are GCT alums,” says GCT Founding Executive/Artistic Director, Chad-Alan Carr. “It is a joy as an educator to see former students follow their goals and give back to the community they grew up in. I am honored to now be their colleague and see them teach and direct the next generation.”

This summer’s theatre camp staff includes:
Hailey Brownley performed in many productions growing up and GCT and has just graduated this year with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts & Psychology with minors in French and Creative Writing at the University of Pittsburgh. She has also participated in numerous GCT productions such as Guys & Dolls and Twin Hearts, Shrek Jr. and The King & I youth edition.
Elizabeth Pellegrino was one of GCT’s first students when GCT opened in 2009 and throughout the years has performed in many productions as a student and then as an adult. She is excited to be teaching summer theatre camp again at GCT! She recently graduated with a BA in Theatre from Mary Baldwin University and is currently enrolled in a program to earn an MLitt in Shakespeare and Performance from MBU. Some of her favorite past roles include Margaret in Henry IV, Part 1 (MBU), Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet (MBU), and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (GCT).
Kyle Meisner has performed in many shows at GCT, graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC and recently choreographed GCT’s production of Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS. Favorite credits include: Cabaret (Emcee), A Chorus Line (Mike Costa), Jekyll & Hyde (Stride/Spider), CATS (Alonzo), Angelina Ballerina (AZ Mouse), Promises, Promises (Ensemble), Disney Jr. Workshop (Ensemble), Parade (Rosser/Watson U/S).
CJ Lair started as a student at GCT at a very young age in the half day summer camp program, and throughout the years performed and assisted in many productions including GCT’s The Penguin Project as a Peer Mentor. He is now a Sophomore at Brown University and is excited to return to GCT this summer to help out and create more memories.
Tessa Trax and Max Carlson both started at GCT when they were age 4 in GCT’s past production of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS. Both graduate this year at Gettysburg Area High School. This Fall Tessa will be attending Penn State and Max will be attending Franklin Marshall. Both will be teaching the next generation of theatre kids this summer at GCT with the July 2025 production of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS.
Audrey Trax also started at GCT when she was very young and has performed in dozens of shows at GCT including the title role in The SpongeBob Musical. She will be attending GAHS this Fall and will be teaching theatre half day camps ages K-2nd grade this summer at GCT.
Rebecca Williams has performed in many shows at GCT including the title role in Junie B Jones the musical. She will be attending Littlestown High School this Fall and will also be helping with theatre camps this summer at GCT.
Guest Instructors for GCT’s Summer Theatre Camp will include Holly Gouge and Jill Work who both have many years of teaching experience with theatre arts in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
GCT’s 2025 Summer Theatre Camps for K-2nd Grade are 9am-Noon Mondays through Fridays while 3rd-9th Grade are 9am-4pm Mondays through Fridays. Camps are different each week June and July and include: Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS, Disney’s Aristocats KIDS, Just Acting Camp, Pirates and Mermaids, A Cinderella Ball, Jungle Jam, and more.
There are still a few spots in summer theatre camps to register for online and many tickets need sold as well to help make this summer successful for GCT. GCT’s Summer Camps 2025 are made possible in part by generous support from The Taylor Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship Fund, The Betsy & Hank White Memorial Scholarship Fund, The Eagle Riders Of Gettysburg, and The Gettysburg Eagles.
