Cordiano steps down as ACAC Executive Officer

Adams County Arts Council Executive Director Lisa Cordiano will step down from her position.

“After thoughtful consideration, I’ve decided to step back from my full-time role as Executive Director at the end of November,” said Cordiano. “While I’m leaving day-to-day leadership, I’m working with the Board of Directors to determine how I might best continue to support ACAC as a part-time contractor. I also plan to keep volunteering for community events that have become part of my heart, including the Gingerbread Celebration and Dancing with the Local Stars, coming up January 16.”

“Serving as Executive Director has been an extraordinary privilege. I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me by our board of directors, the dedication of our staff and volunteers, and the unwavering support of this community. Together, we’ve expanded programs, built partnerships, and celebrated creativity in countless ways. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished—and even more proud of the spirit of collaboration in our Adams County community that made it all possible.

“Thank you for the honor of serving as Executive Director. Thank you for believing in the arts—and especially for believing in the Adams County Arts Council, whose mission and people continue to inspire me every single day. I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving and look forward to seeing you at the Gingerbread Celebration and Dancing with the Local Stars.”

More News from ACAC

A huge thank you to everyone who supported and attended the Adams County Arts Council’s first Harvest Ball at Liberty Mountain Resort. The event was a tremendous success—proof of how much the Arts Council means to our community.

We were also, once again, honored to be participants in the Annual Giving Spree. Thank you in advance for your generosity at that important event. Once again, Adams County residents showed up in record numbers to support the important work of our area nonprofits. We can’t wait to hear all of the results at The Big Reveal.

Right around the corner is another community favorite—ACAC’s Annual Gingerbread Celebration and Holiday Market, December 5–7, presented by Kennie’s Markets, ReMax of Gettysburg/Suzanne Christianson, and Mr. Ed’s Elephant Museum and Candy Emporium. It’s not too late to enter a house as an individual, family, group, or business. Entry forms are available on our website and due November 26, with house drop-off on December 3. We had a magnificent display of 25 houses last year and would love to see even more this year. Our vendors for the Market are busy creating beautiful, unique gifts for your holiday shopping pleasure.

We’re honored once again to be both a shuttle stop and featured event in the Gettysburg Christmas Festival. New this year: an extra-special First Friday reception on December 5 at our Arts Education Center, where houses will be up for live auction beginning at 5 p.m. Come see the houses, enjoy food and drink, bid on a creation, and then head down to Lincoln Square for the tree lighting and Tuba Festival that kick off this fantastic Festival weekend.
