County Commissioners honor 4-H

Adams County celebrated Pennsylvania 4-H Week March 16-22.

On Wednesday, March 19, five youth members along with club leaders and the 4-H Adams County educators attended the Adams County Commissioners’ Meeting to receive the annual proclamation.
Members in attendance were Samantha Grant, Abigail Stottlemyer, Leonard Orleski, Findley Waybright, and Leroy Rentzel. Each year, hundreds of youth participate in Adams County 4-H. This helps our future leaders become confident, independent, resilient, and compassionate leaders as they learn by doing.

4-H in Pennsylvania is delivered by Penn State Extension in all 67 counties and serves more than 77,000 youth ages 5-18. 4-H week showcases the ways in which our local youth are actively making a positive impact on their community. 4-H provides each member with opportunities for leadership, problem-solving, career exploration, friendship, fun, and purpose. Dedicated volunteers and club leaders make positive impacts on the Adams County 4-H youth and serve a pivotal role in their development.
