The Adams County Board of Commissioners and Agricultural Land Preservation Board is seeking interested candidates to serve on the Adams County Agricultural Land Preservation Board (ACALPB). Board members are responsible for overseeing the administration of the Adams County Agricultural Land Preservation Program. In order to be eligible for membership on the Board, a candidate must reside in Adams County and have a strong interest in agriculture and preservation. The open position is for the “Contractor” member, specifically involved in the Building/Contractor field. Candidates must be available to attend ACALPB meetings, which are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm, and have access to email. Meetings are held in person, with the ability to attend via computer or phone. The candidate will be appointed to serve a term of 3 years. This is an unpaid voluntary position.
Interested candidates should complete the Nominee Questionnaire and mail it to the Adams County Agricultural Land Preservation Board c/o Adams County Planning Department, 670 Old Harrisburg Road, Suite 100, Gettysburg, PA 17325, Attention: Ellen Dayhoff, or email the Questionnaire to edayhoff@adamscountypa.org by March 22, 2024. A letter should indicate why the candidate is interested in serving on the Agricultural Land Preservation Board.
