Destination Gettysburg launches new Pour Tour passport, prizes

Now in its sixth year, the Adams County Pour Tour kicked off 2024 with a new digital passport, new prizes and more than 10 locations where visitors and residents can taste an amazing variety of craft beverages in the Gettysburg area.

In 2018, Destination Gettysburg launched the craft beverage trail, now featuring locally made beer, cider, mead, spirits and wine. As trailgoers explore the trail they will encounter live music, trivia nights, paint and sip events, delicious cuisine and so much more.

In 2023, nearly 1,250 individuals signed up for the free Pour Tour passport, resulting in more than 3,175 check-ins at breweries, cideries, distilleries, meaderies and wineries. These participants represent craft beverage enthusiasts from 31 states and two countries.

“From historic downtown tasting rooms to beautiful countryside vistas, the Pour Tour takes visitors on a tasting journey that showcases Adams County’s craft beverage scene,” Destination Gettysburg Trails Manager Joel Cymerman said.

To embark on the adventure, users can sign up at AdamsCountyPourTour.com and bookmark the digital passport to their devices. Through the passport, users collect points with each drink purchased. Points can then be used to redeem prizes.

New to the prize offerings are a bottle opener keychain, T-shirts and an insulated beverage holder. Returning prizes include a Pour Tour magnet, tote bag and a set of pint glasses.

At the highest prize level, users can be entered into the Grand Pour, a drawing for an overnight stay in Gettysburg, which includes lodging, dining and entertainment. Grand Pour entrants will also receive a commemorative keepsake.

For the first time, the Pour Tour passport will feature discounts on apparel and merchandise that can be used at several stops along the trail. Users will also notice the passport includes access to the seasonal Adams County Crop Hop farm and market trail.

“By keeping the Crop Hop and Pour Tour passport in one place, we’re providing users with a one-stop shop for all of Destination Gettysburg’s trails,” Cymerman said. “The Pour Tour continues to give visitors an exciting way to craft their own tasting experience through Gettysburg and beyond.”

Destination Gettysburg, the official destination marketing organization of Adams County, Pa., promotes Gettysburg and Adams County as a premier travel destination to benefit and enhance our community by sharing history and creating new experiences.
